Does the chronograph work? the 2:00 and 4:00 buttons have the function of start/stop and reset?

No, the chronographs on our Japanese models are not functional. The chronographs only work on our Swiss model watches, this is a Japanese model and as such the chronographs are for show only. If you want a watch will working sub dials, you will need to buy a Swiss model watch.
